Fabricator (Fitter/Welder)

As a Welder you will set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment. Fabricate and assemble metal through the use of welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools according to specifications. You will repair and maintain metal equipment and structures of various sizes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work in a safe manner at a high production rate
- Able to level and square parts while tacking into place
- Rigging and hosting with overhead crane
- Fix and rewire welding machines (wire rolls weigh 40lbs)
- Lift and hold 50lbs and be able to set it down gently
- Stand for 12 hours
- Able to work at heights
- Climb up and down equipment to fit parts or to weld parts sometimes one handed
- MIG weld: hard wire 90%, bare wire 10%
- Be able to read and interpret blueprints
